Privacy Policy
("we", "us") is an independent service that connects Canadian homeowners with licensed local solar and heat pump installers. We are not affiliated with any utility, including Nova Scotia Power, with any provincial government, including the Government of Nova Scotia, or with the Government of Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
When you complete our quiz or contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, postal code, your approximate monthly electricity bill, the type of project you are interested in and your answers to the quiz questions (what you want from your project, whether you own or rent your home and the type of home). We also collect standard technical information such as the page you came from and the campaign that brought you here.
How we use it
- To check whether your home is in our service area and to prepare your results.
- To contact you by phone, text message or email about your request.
- To share your request with a licensed partner installer in your province so they can call you, assess your home and prepare a quote.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including through advertising platforms such as Meta.
Consent and how to withdraw it
By submitting the form you give us express consent to contact you about your request. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying "STOP" to a text message, by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Sharing
We share your information only with the partner installer assigned to your request and with the service providers we use to run our business (for example, our customer relationship management software and email provider). We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and security
We keep your information for as long as needed to handle your request and meet our legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. To do so, send us a message through our Contact page.
Cookies and advertising
Our pages may use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to measure the performance of our advertising. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
